Cross Country Stampede

CAN KIDS RUN?  Yes but they must run with a registered adult.  Waiver must be signed by child's legal guardian.  13+ years doesn't require an adult but must have a waiver signed by child's legal guardian.


DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE ALL OBSTACLES? NO NOT AT ALL.  Please remember that in an attempt to make our course doable for everyone, it is possible to go around most of the obstacles, except for a couple of creek crossings. SAFETY IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN! BE CAREFUL and use your own judgment at the obstacles. If we have a lot of rain this week, the creek run might be a bit deeper. Don't worry, you won't have to swim! There will be volunteers posted at most obstacles, so if you have any questions or need help please ask them.


WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?  We encourage people to get crazy and creative and come in just about anything.  Please keep in mind it will get wet, muddy & dirty ;D  PLEASE WEAR PROPER FOOTWEAR & NO TRACK SPIKES PLEASE!!!


HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE COURSE? The average person takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete the course.  We use a 15 minute wave system to help with back log at the obstacles.  Approximately 50 people go in a wave. 


EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE!!!  NO REFUNDS GIVEN!!!

WHERE IS PACKET PICKUP? FRIDAY, MAY 18TH 12-6 @ MT. PISGAH BAPTIST CHURCH (5210 PISGAH RD., CUMMING, GA 30028) & RACE DAY STARTING @ 7:30 @ THE FARM (3810 WATSON RD., CUMMING, GA 30028)

WHERE DO I PARK?  You may park at 3810 Watson Rd. Cumming, GA 30028 which is across the road from the start line. You may also park at Sawnee Mountain Ballpark which is just a few hundred yards from the start line. CARPOOLING IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! All parking is FREE. If you are in a hurry to leave please park at Sawnee Mountain Ballpark because it will be easier to get out.

WHAT TO BRING?  There will not be lockers or any other means of storage for valuables, so please leave anything you don't want to risk losing or can't run with, in your vehicle. You might consider bringing a gallon of rinse water and a towel. Most importantly, BRING A SMILE & GREAT ATTITUDE because we're all here to have a good time!

FINISH LINE?  In addition to one water station along the course, there will be fruit, granola bars and water at the finish line, so help yourselves. Also, we will have Pizza Hut Pizza (free slice per runner) & FROZEN FRENZEE (you will need cash or credit card).  They will be leaving at 11:30 & a portion of the proceeds will go back to Mt.Pisgah Baptist Church. 

PICTURES? There will be a few volunteers with cameras at some of the obstacles, and the pictures will be available for free download in the near future. We cannot guarantee a picture of all participants, so if you want to be certain to get pictures of yourself at the obstacles feel free to bring your own camera/phone. A plastic bag for protection would be a good idea. If you get any good shots feel free to email them to us or post them on the CCS Facebook. You can have your picture made with our cow "Dolly" at the start/finish area. BRING A SMILE!!!

PROCEEDS?  The event will be benefitting Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

 REMINDERS... • SELF-TIMED EVENT • RUNNERS ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATING IN CCS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOSPITALIZATION, AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION OR PHYSICIAN SERVICES. THERE WILL BE AN EMT ON SITE.
